Eric Moussambani is an Olympic swimmer from Equatorial Guinea.
He competed in the Sydney Olympics 2000.
He did not win.
But what makes him so popular is he did his best.
Even he was almost drowning, he did his best to finish the race.
The crowd applauded what he did, and that's because they saw that Eric was doing his best.
